| Jewish Passover The present Passover commemorates the departure from Egypt and Israel's freeing from slavery . Lamb's blood with what Israelites had marked their doors had preserved their children from death. In remembrance of this day, Jews eat unleavened bread and lamb prepared with bitten herbs. |
